Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled welders with experience in multi-pass welding and UT/X-ray quality standards to join our Burlington facility. You will weld fabrications and parts according to drawings, procedures, and strict quality requirements while maintaining full compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld large, complex steel fabrications (10,000–200,000+ lbs).
• Perform multi-pass FCAW welds (0.5”–1.5” fillet welds).
• Weld plates and joints up to 8” thick.
• Produce UT and X-ray quality welds.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
• Plan weld sequences for optimal penetration and efficiency.
• Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards (CCOHS/WHMIS).

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of FCAW heavy welding experience.
• GTAW and Sub Arc experience considered an asset.
• Experience with large-scale or custom fabrication projects.
• Knowledge of welding parameters, preheat/interpass temperatures, and filler metals.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings (asset).
• CWB, AWS, or TSSA certifications are strong assets.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable operating overhead cranes and heavy equipment.

Experience

• FCAW - Flux Core - Heavy Welding: 4 years (required)
• GTAW and Sub Arc - Heavy Welding: 4 years (preferred)
• Large-scale / custom fabrication: 4 years (preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• CWB certification (preferred)
• AWS certification (preferred)
• TSSA certification (preferred)

Position Overview

The CNC VTL Machinist is responsible for setup, operation, and in-process inspection of large, complex components in a custom manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in turning operations, workholding, and maintaining precision on large-diameter parts. Work may take place at both Burlington and Mississauga locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review job packages, drawings, and work orders prior to machining.
• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (30”–200”+ diameter, 5,000–100,000+ lbs).
• Operate from elevated platforms or machine cabins as required.
• Machine parts to specifications using drawings, job travellers, and sketches.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Perform pre-inspections before material removal.
• Modify programs, offsets, and cutting parameters as needed.
• Perform machining operations including facing, turning (OD/ID), grooving, threading, milling, and boring.
• Measure and record critical dimensions using precision instruments.
• Use overhead cranes for setup and handling large components.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality standards.
• Report non-conformances and support root cause analysis.
• Maintain part traceability (Job #, WO #, material ID).
• Identify improvements in cycle times and setup efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards (CCOHS/WHMIS).

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of CNC setup and machining experience with large components.
• Experience machining large weldments to tight tolerances.
• Experience in custom, low-volume, high-mix production.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills (required).
• Experience with large machine tools (Toshiba, Schiess, Berthiez).
• Proficient with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
• Strong analytical approach to machining complex materials.
• Overhead crane experience is an asset.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• General machinist certification is an asset.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and rigging practices.

Qualifications

• Experience machining large weldments and tight-tolerance components.
• Experience in custom, low-volume, high-mix production.

• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls is an asset.
• Overhead crane experience is an asset.
• General machinist certification is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational skills and adaptability.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Finisher (Deburring) responsible for finishing and smoothing machined or fabricated metal parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections. This role ensures all parts meet quality, safety, and customer requirements prior to inspection or shipment. Position based in Mississauga/Burlington.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deburring and grinding on large machined and fabricated components.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, slag, and weld spatter.
• Break edges to specified requirements (radius, chamfer, edge break).
• Ensure all parts are safe to handle.
• Perform grinding, sanding, polishing, and surface finishing.
• Ensure parts meet visual and dimensional standards.
• Maintain proper part identification (Job # / WO #).
• Stamp and mark parts per QA and drawing requirements.
• Clean and package components.
• Support final inspection readiness.
• Protect finished surfaces during handling and staging.
• Operate overhead crane for handling and positioning parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report defects or non-conformances to supervisors.
• Assist with additional finishing operations as needed.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety procedures.
• Be aware of hazards (sparks, dust, sharp edges, rotating tools).
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards (CCOHS/WHMIS).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in deburring, grinding, or metal finishing.
• Experience with machined components and/or weldments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and finishing requirements.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Basic knowledge of measurement tools is an asset.
• Forklift and crane experience is an asset.
• Ability to work overtime and shift work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
